Living in a constant state of worry? Always thinking of what’s ahead or things that happened in the past, rather than what’s happening in the now… Maybe you feel like you’re drowning in a sea of thoughts, looking for the nearest life preserver to help you stay afloat. When things get tough, you feel like you’re in it alone and no one can possibly understand what you’re going through. Maybe you’ve tried all the avenues to inner peace and nothing seems to be enough.
Working with me will help identify past experiences and how they form the here and now. We will work through the tough shit and identify healthy skills to navigate what seems like never ending challenges. Our time together will be a safe space to explore the journey of inner peace that can only be defined by you.
In my practice, I utilize an eclectic approach of CBT, solution focus, attachment therapy, and many more depending on your needs. My approach is very individualistic based on your needs. If you’re looking for a space to unpack and have a listening ear, I can be that person. If you’re looking for someone with more of a guided approach, I can also be that person. Many would consider me as a calm presence that’s approachable and easy to talk to. I identify as a queer person of color that comes from a community where mental health is a taboo topic. This space is safe to anyone and I welcome new therapy goers!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina and have been in the field since 2019. I received my Masters in Social Work from East Carolina University, where most of my experience has been working with individuals and families dealing with anxiety, depression, and attachment concerns.
