It feels like you’re playing life on custom settings while everyone else is using the default mode. You may be keeping it together on the outside—getting good grades or promotions, making friends, remembering to feed your cat—but underneath, you’re wondering why everything feels so much harder for you than it seems to be for everyone else. Maybe you’re processing a new diagnosis, questioning your identity, or feeling overwhelmed by life changes. The weight of anxiety, depression, or executive dysfunction makes it hard to see your own worth, and traditional advice (“just write it down!” or “just put yourself out there!”) doesn’t seem to work for your brain. You’re looking for someone who understands that thinking differently isn’t something to cure or fix—it’s something to embrace.

In my sessions, you can expect me to meet you wherever you are and tailor each session to your individual needs and experiences. Whether we engage in deep reflection, identify practical strategies, or create a tier list of Halloween candy, no two sessions—or clients—are the same.

I use a strengths-based approach that integrates elements of ACT, CBT, and mindfulness (I’m happy to explain any of those acronyms more in our free consultation). I value the therapeutic relationship and consider YOU the expert and me a compassionate tour guide—i.e. just another human with some extra education and training. Acknowledging systemic factors like inequality and prejudice, I provide a therapy space where you can show up as your authentic, human self, even if—especially if—you don’t have that place anywhere else in your life. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to be affirming of all identities, cultures, religious beliefs, body sizes, and abilities. Whether you are new to counseling or a seasoned therapy-goer, I’m honored to support you and will advocate for your needs, including referrals if necessary.

I love incorporating creative writing and other forms of self-expression – if you’re into that (personally, I’m a firm believer in writing mediocre poetry).

I have a lifelong love of learning and frequently channel that into reading every article and listening to every podcast about one random topic at a time. Seriously, let me know if you want to know anything about Ozempic, sports gambling addictions, or Open-AI. Outside of work, I also enjoy trying new restaurants with my partner, playing emulated Game Boy games on my phone, and adding books to the ever-growing pile on my bedside table (I’ll read them eventually, I swear).

I am a Licensed Clinician Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. My prior work experience includes university counseling centers and private practice. I have a particular love for working with college students and helping you navigate all the growth, independence, messiness, and late night Cook-Out runs that can come with the college journey. I received a Master’s of Science in Counseling at the University of North Texas and hold a Bachelor’s degree from Rice University.
