You Hold Everything Together, But Who’s Holding You?

You’re the person everyone depends on. You hold it all together, take care of everyone around you, and somehow still feel guilty when you need rest.

From the outside, you look capable, high-functioning, successful. On the inside? Overwhelmed. Emotionally exhausted. Disconnected from yourself, or stuck in survival mode, just trying to make it to tomorrow.

Maybe you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, new parenthood, relationship stress, or the relentless pressure of trying to be “enough” for everyone. Maybe you feel emotionally reactive one moment and completely numb the next. You might wrestle with overthinking, people-pleasing, rejection sensitivity, or the quiet exhaustion of feeling like nobody truly understands how hard you’re working just to keep going.

If that landed, you’re in the right place.

Areas of Focus

  • Women’s mental health
  • Perinatal mental health, including postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and birth trauma

Who I Work With

I work primarily with women, neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and teens and adults (ages 13+) navigating trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity shifts, and relationship difficulties.

I have a special interest in perinatal mental health, the season of life that includes pregnancy, postpartum recovery, birth trauma, and the emotional complexity of stepping into (or deepening) motherhood. This transition can be beautiful, disorienting, grief-filled, and everything in between. You deserve support that holds all of it.

I also genuinely enjoy working with clients who experience intense emotions, chronic invalidation, or difficulty feeling safe and understood in relationships. People who have often been told they’re “too much,” or who have spent years wondering if what they feel is real enough to deserve support. It is. You are.

Sessions are available in person in Boone, NC and via secure video telehealth across North Carolina.

My Approach to Therapy

There’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy, and I won’t treat you like there is.

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and queer affirming. I focus heavily on emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion, helping you better understand yourself without shame. I draw from evidence-based modalities including:

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy): building psychological flexibility and living by your values, not your fears
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): developing skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): processing trauma, including birth trauma, at the root level

Wondering how EMDR can help you heal from birth trauma? It’s one of the most powerful tools available for postpartum and perinatal trauma, and it’s something I’m passionate about offering. Schedule a consultation and we can talk through what healing could look like for you and your family.

I believe therapy should feel human. In sessions with me, you can expect authenticity, compassion, humor when it fits, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are. No performance required.

Ready to Stop Running on Empty?

Whether you’re carrying something you’ve never said out loud, navigating the fog of postpartum life, or simply exhausted from shrinking yourself to fit, therapy can be the place where you finally don’t have to.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. You just have to show up.
