HI, I’M TAVI. Book A Free Consultation Now
Are you thinking “damn, I thought I’d worked through that but here it is popping up again!”? or “Can the world please stop tripping so I can take a breath?”. Maybe you’re recovering from narcissistic abuse and need to work with somebody who understands what that means. Maybe you feel like a relationship is strained and you want to improve it. Maybe you work in the music industry and want a therapist who gets that life You want to do the work but it feels overwhelming and you’re not sure how to find the space for healing.
We’ll tap into the wisdom your body already holds, nature, and the ancestors in our healing work. We’ll honor humor and laughter as a form of resistance. I’ll support you in getting more rooted, more connected, and finding the love and contentment you deserve in this beautiful, hard life.
Some of the approaches I offer in this healing journey are EMDR for trauma recovery and kicking shame to the curb, attachment theory, parts work, narrative therapy and more. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in a liberatory framework. I’m real, authentic, affirming, and continuously engaged in learning and growth to bring the best care to the people I work with.
I have experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, gender identities, and expressions. You can bring your whole self into our space and therapy process.
Many of my clients choose to work with me for years, finding trusted support through life’s frequent changes and challenges while engaging in deeper healing work.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Washington in Seattle. I’ve worked in the mental health and healing justice fields for 18 years. I am nonbinary and multiracial. My gender expression varies, and my pronouns are they/them. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, walking in the woods, playing with my kid, traveling, playing drums, hugging my elders, and eating.
I’m a Southern lover of books, music, my young child, and a spirit dog named Scully. I’m a co-founder of QORDS, a nonprofit summer camp for queer and trans youth and youth of LGBTQ+ families. Oh and I’m author of: The Gender Identity Guide for Parents , and Cultural Awareness in Therapy with Trans, Two Spirit and Gender Non-Conforming Adults and Older People.
