HI, I’M LEAH.

My name is Leah Riddell (she/her) and I would love to be your therapist.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) for the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Vermont. I have a passion for supporting people who are navigating change in their life and rewriting their stories. I am especially passionate about serving those in rural areas, having experienced first hand what it was like to be bored in a small town and everything else that accompanies small-town life. I have a special interest in working with individuals in the kink/poly/ethical non-monogamy communities and/or who are LGBQIA+ and trans. I feel strongly about advocating for peoples of all genders, races, and cultural backgrounds. I am actively anti-racist and continuously seek out trainings to recognize my own biases and blind spots.

I often utilize EMDR, mindfulness, and bibliotherapy in my space.

My personal interests include video games (PC and Xbox), all things music, memes, and weird TV. I am a stepmother in a blended family who enjoys the occasional hair color change and a lover of all animals. I travel quite often, my favorite locations (so far) including Portugal, Norway, and Oregon in the US.

I provide online counseling services to individuals with mental, emotional and/or behavioral health concerns as well as substance use disorders and challenges with habit control. Among other mental health concerns, I provide services to help individuals manage the cause and symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic, phobia, conduct/behavioral problems, trauma, grief, and substance use related concerns.

I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University specializing in Substance Abuse Counseling and Military & Trauma Counseling. Prior to my master’s education, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies.
