Abuse in a relationship is not always physical. It can include control, threats, isolation, financial pressure and constant criticism. Many survivors doubt their own memory or wonder whether what happened counts. If it hurt you, it matters.

Our clinicians offer confidential, trauma-informed support for survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence, including LGBTQIA+ survivors. We focus on safety, rebuilding trust in your own perception and healing at your pace. If you are in danger now, call 911 or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.

Common questions

Is emotional abuse still abuse?

Yes. Emotional and psychological abuse can cause lasting harm, and controlling or demeaning behavior is part of the definition of intimate partner violence.

Will therapy be safe and private?

Therapy is confidential within the limits of the law, and your clinician will talk with you about safety planning. If you share a device or home with someone who may monitor you, tell your clinician so you can plan appointments safely.
