Identity Exploration

A supportive space to explore gender, sexuality, culture, faith and who you are. Affirming identity therapy from Origins in NC and online.

  • 8 clinicians at Origins
  • 7 accepting or with limited availability
  • In person across North Carolina and online

Who you are can change and deepen over time. You might be questioning your gender or sexuality, sorting out culture or faith, coming out, or wondering who you are beneath what others expect of you. There is no deadline and no right answer.

Our clinicians offer a curious, affirming space where you set the pace. We do not push you toward a label or an outcome. We help you understand what feels true, work through fear or family reactions, and build a life that fits.

Common questions

Do I need to know my identity before starting therapy?

Not at all. Many people come to therapy because they are unsure. Exploring is the point.

Will my therapist judge or try to change my identity?

No. Our approach is affirming. Your clinician's role is to support your exploration and wellbeing, not to steer you toward any particular identity.
